"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves."

Kay-Elle Visa Trip

Went down to KL yesterday to get my UK visa done. It was actually a gamble considering a didn't get my UCAS letter yet. Took the Aeroline bus from Queensbay Mall at 8.30am. The bus going there was really slow. By the time I arrived it was almost 2pm and yet still no UCAS letter. Well there goes my hopes of applying for visa on that day itself.

Checked into Corus Hotel which is just opposite Wisma MCA (where the visa office is located) and more importantly just a 5 minute walk from KLCC. Next stop..you guessed it... KLCC!!!!

KLCC with the Petronas Twin Towers at the back

View of the park

Its been awhile since I last stepped there. Walk around for abit. Bought a fruit juice from Juiceworks. Bought something called Wake Me Up which was basically banana, strawberry and orange blended into smoothie. Not too bad.

Juiceworks!!

Wake Me Up!

Walked around for abit and saw something interesting... This is especially for u Renee, my teman gila Sesame Street.

Oscar the Grouch!! Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street!!
This one's for you Elmo!

Well fast forward to dinner time. Took the LRT to meet up with my grandaunt. On the way, University of Portsmouth KL office called me and informed me that my UCAS letter was here. Woohoo. Praise the lord. Me and my grandaunt and another one of her friends had Sio Tu Kia or suckling pig for dinner. It was really awesome and at a mere RM68.00, definitely a bargain. The restaurant was somewhere in Petaling Jaya.

Sio Tu Kia!!

After dinner, took the LRT back to hotel and it was an early night cap for me as I had to wake up early the next day.

Alarm woke me up at 6.30am and I checked out by 7.00am. Walked over to Wisma MCA and went to fourth floor. The first words that came out of my mouth was.... "Holy shit, you gotta be kidding me!!". It was barely 7.15 and there were like already 50+ people queuing up outside the visa office. Damn... Well anyway finished everything at about 2.00pm which is considered pretty good already.

Went with Liyan to Corus Hotel to get the 3.30pm Aeroline bus tickets to Penang. Then we went for a quick lunch at Burger King. God I really missed Burger King. Arrived back at the hotel about 3.15, just in time for the bus.

First thing I did when I went on the bus was try to sleep. But thanks to the movie that was being played on the bus and some uncle snoring so loudly beside me, sleep eluded me. After the rest stop, me and Liyan discovered the lounge which was so much more comfortable and quieter so we spent the rest of the journey sleeping there. Had subway for dinner which was given on the bus. How cool is that?

Arrived at Penang at about 7.40 which was a lot faster than the journey there. All in all, tiring journey but at least managed to get things done without much complications.

All or Nothing

Recently listened back to this song.. Really nice song by Theory of a Deadman.

Check it out....

When i first saw you standing there
You know it was a little hard not to stare
So nervous when i drove you home
I know being apart is a little hard to bare.

Send some flowers to your work in hopes
That I'd have you in my arms again
We kissed that night before i left
Still now thats something
I could never forget
You've got all that i need

Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
With you i know that
I am good for something
So lets go give it a try
We got our backs against the ocean
It`s just us against the world
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i

Lets take a chance go far away today
And never look back again
Since i said i loved you in Las vegas
It`s never been the same since then
You've got all that i need

Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
With you i know
I am good for something
So lets go give it a try
We got our backs against the ocean
It`s just us against the world
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i

This is it nothing to hide
One more kiss never say goodbye
This is it baby your all mine
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
I know that i am good for something
So lets go give it a try
We got our backs against the ocean
It`s just us against the world
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
With you i know that
I am good for something
So lets go give it a try

We got our backs against the ocean
It`s just us against the world
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
Looking at all or nothing
Babe it`s you and i
Babe it`s you and i

Finally!!

Finally!!!

I got myself a pair of futsal shoes from Jusco at Queensbay Mall today. I recently started playing futsal every week with Chong Yen, Kia and a bunch of Kia's friends. For the past two weeks been playing barefoot. As a result, my foot has blisters and looked horrible. So finally I decided to get a pair of futsal shoes.

My new shoes cost RM62.90 after discount. On top of that my mum had Jusco voucher worth RM40 so all in all, I paid just RM22.90 for the shoes. Pretty darn good if you asked me!!

Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room

Went to Queensbay Mall today. Was supposed to go Dragon-i for lunch but unfortunately too many people waiting and I was hungry already. Haha. So me and mum decided to try something new... Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room. For those of you that haven't heard of it, its the new restaurant that took over the shoplot previously occupied by Swensen's.

The pricing of the food there is slightly above average (almost similar to that of Dragon-i). However, sad to say that the quality of the food is not yet up to Dragon-i.

Anyway, I ordered the Taiwanese Supreme Chicken in 3 Variety of Sauce set meal. The set meal is served with soup, 3 side dishes and either plain rice of Taiwan style braised pork rice. I chose the braised pork rice. On the other hand, my mum had the Fried Beef Noodles with "Sa Cha". Can anyone tell me what is "Sa Cha"? Lol...

Like what I said earlier, the food was alright but nothing fantastic. But the presentation was rather unique.

The Verdict:
Worth the try but I don't think I will be back for seconds.

What Happened to My Car...

Was really looking forward to today's plans. Badminton in the afternoon and futsal at night. What more could one ask for?

This is one of the cases where reality bites you in the ass. When reach Permata time, as I was passing the longkang (covered by metal grating), I heard a loud bang and felt my whole car jerk. All I could think of at that moment was... "Oh f*ck." Parked my car and went down to check. Saw the exhaust pipe was busted... Oh crap. Had to give up badminton and go to the workshop. All the way to the workshop my exhaust was making a loud sound similar to those kinda Tu Kao cars with their big but good for nothing exhaust pipes.

Turns out not only my exhaust was busted but the oxygen sensor was also busted. They had no stock so need to order. Gonna cost a few hundred ringgit to replace it...Arrrr... sim tia. Anyway got the exhaust repaired on the same day which was a good thing. No more Tu Kao exhaust sounds coming from my car.

Well anyway now all that I'm waiting for is the oxygen sensor. In the meantime, the mechanic stripped down my car interior so that it would be easier to install the sensor once it arrives. It was a really weird experience driving my car back. Don't get what I mean? Just look at the pics below...

What happened to my car????

Notice anything missing?

Imagine driving in this condition

You won't see this very often..

Found them!!

Oh, there are all the missing pieces!!

Sorry for the out of date post but this blogger has been really busy lately with studies and college. Well anyway, heres the very much delayed post bout my visit to Paddington House of Pancakes. For those of you that don't know yet.... No it doesn't have anything to do with Paddington Bear but yea it does sell nice pancakes.

Went with Reuben and Boon Teong. Three of us jalan jalan then finally decided to go there for Pancakes. Yum yum!!~

Yours truly enjoying his pancakes!!

And We Did It Again!!

What do you do when the score is level after 90 minutes and your title hopes seem to be fading?? Easy... we score the winning goal in injury time. Thats how we do it at United. We never give up.

We did it in Old Trafford....

Michael Owen with the winning goal!!

And we did it again in the City of Manchester stadium.....

Paul Scholes this time with a glorious injury time header!!

All I can say is sucks to you city. Quote from Roberto Mancini..."I hope they play Rooney so they will have no excuses if they lose. That way we can say that the better team won."

So does that mean he's finally admitting that MANCHESTER UNITED are the best team in Manchester? I'll leave that to him to decide cause I already know the answer.

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!

Chu Yoke Weng Roast Duck Rice

Went to Chu Yoke Weng Restaurant last Saturday. This restaurant is one of my favourite duck rice restaurants mainly due to its signature dish, the Pei Pah Duck. The duck is nicely roasted, the meat is very tender and the skin is very crispy. That coupled together with their special sauce makes the Pei Pah duck a definite must try.

The famous Pei Pah Duck...YUM YUM!!

I also ordered the fried Sui Kow. This sui kow is filled with a mince meat and prawn filling. Each serving of the sui kow comes together with salad sauce.

The delicious fried sui kow

And finally, the meal wouldn't be complete without a bowl of Kiam Chai Boey or Sour and spicy soup with salted vegetables.

Azuma Japanese Restaurant @ Queensbay Mall

Went for lunch at Queensbay Mall today. Belanja my mum and sis eat. Decided to go Azuma since we've never actually been there before. Heard from my aunt that the food there was pretty good so decided to give it a try.

Reach Queensbay about 11.30am then went straight to the restaurant. The food was pretty good and so was the service. We ordered lots of things. Among them was my mum' s favourite, the Dobi Mushi which is the Japanese teapot soup. Well I'm lazy to list down all the food that we ordered here so why don't you just take a look at the photos below and start salivating. Oh yea, we were even given free desserts. Ice cream with mango syrup. Compliments of Azuma Japanese Restaurant. Cheers!!

Chilli's Grill & Bar Restaurant @ Gurney Plaza

Went to Chilli's Grill & Bar Restaurant at Gurney Plaza on Thursday(18/2). This was only my second time going there. Went there about 6.15pm and there was already a waiting list of about 5 families... Wow... They seem to be really popular. More and more people began to show up and I was so relieved that I came earlier. Finally got our table at around 6.40pm. The wait was considered good already as some of the latecomers were made to wait almost an hour before getting their table. One thing I do admire about the people working there is that regardless of who you are, you still ahve to wait your turn. There are no special treatment.

Well on with the food. My family ordered a few things to be shared. Among them were the Classic Nachos, Crispy Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crisper, Southwestern Jalapeno Steak Quesadillas and the Bowl of Chilli.

I especially enjoyed the chicken crisper and quesadillas. The chilli was also pretty good.
